You're riding in your self-driving car when suddenly the doors lock, the route changes and you have lost all control. Then, a mysterious voice tells you, "You are going to die." Just as self-driving cars become the trusted, safer norm, eight people find themselves in this terrifying situation, including a faded TV star, a pregnant young woman, an abused wife fleeing her husband, an undocumented immigrant, a husband and wife, and a suicidal man. From cameras hidden in their cars, their panic is broadcast to millions of people around the world. But the public will show their true colors when they are asked, Which of these people should we save?...And who should we kill first?

"This puts a whole new meaning to "holding on for dear life" doesn't it? I have often hoped and dreamed for fully driverless roads for the sake of eliminating traffic. This book certainly makes one think twice of that is what they really want. There are plenty of thrills, twists and excitement to recommend anyone to give this a read. "
"4.5⭐️ John Marrs you did it again. Greeeaatt story! The twists don't read like a thriller but boy do they twist!"

"Twisty!!! So many things happened that I never saw coming. Now… Jude, Noah… Alex!! Whaaatt?!! I loved Libby’s character who continually stood up for what she believed in. I also really enjoyed how the author gave us a great background full of detail on all passengers and gave us an ending that closed up everything. The references to The One were nicely done. (The One and The Passengers are stand alone novels that take place in the same world. It is recommended that The One is read before The Passengers if you choose to read them both!) "
