"I was looking everywhere for this book and I found it at target one day I finish the book in like an hour 30 minutes it’s not a very long one. It’s a graphic novel it’s the type of book where it’s like everyone else can tell they like each other and everyone keeps telling them but they’re just like nope but it was a pretty good book. Very cute type book."
"Such a fun read! This book exceeded my expectations. I am not a graphic novel lover that much but this book, I fell in love with! The fact that the author used similarity of her love life with her wife in this book made it even more enjoyable. Cam and Brie were definitely made for each other, regardless of gender. I am a huge supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and this book just proved that you don’t have to be ashamed of your sexuality and that love conquers all.
Definitely an amazing read, especially with the pictures, it really gives you a better visualization of the story as you’re reading through the book. I highly recommend it! "
"It was a cute little self-insert piece ( which is joked about by the author ). I will say, a few things I didn't like were the wannabe commentary on plus sized models where it's 1 statement that felt so weird and out of place was just...there? Also the fact the only brown character who fought just as hard as anyone else to keep the two main characters together was...left out of the loop and made a joke of at the end of the story was...strange. Another thing was the "outing" drama that almost happened seemed very irredeemable to me but somehow it's not talked about outside of privately, also there was no accountability for what she tried to do out of momentary anger. None of the characters were really memorable or likeable, but none were hateable either., just...kinda boring. A decent read for a 10-12 year old"
"I love the artwork and think the author's personal connection to the story was sweet, but the story just fell flat for me. I was thinking this was supposed to be a historical setting, but then we see Cam with a Nintendo Switch. So...it's modern but they still have all the historical "rules"? I also would've liked more character development as well or to see more of Brie's thoughts in regards to discovering Cam's secret and how it affects (or doesn't) their relationship."
