"Fascinating read, for a variety of reasons I think this book will stay with me for a very long time. It’s a pretty controversial book, but I think that the largest complaints being the romanticism of suicide (which I don’t think happens) and the topics it deals with are talked about in a way which may not be conventional but still works. I think this book is hard and made me feel like crap after I finished for some reason. The unique writing style makes the book a well equipped page turner. Although it was annoying sometimes. I still think it was a important read, and a easy one because Asher sets up the book’s suspense beautifully. Now, I have to take this book with a grain of salt, knowing that Asher himself has had some trouble with SA claims from multiple women. It makes me question some of the ways he phrased things in the book. But even after I found that out, I was still glad I read the book. I would recommend this but do your research. I don’t think this book should be taken lightly. Or that it was supposed to be. 20/30"

"This was surprisingly good. It wasn't too depressing, but it was definitely tragic. I think the main message is that your actions toward other people could be piling on a lot of ****** actions from other people. For some of the things in this book, individually, they weren't tooooo terrible. However, all of those things stacked on top of each other will break someone. <br/><br/>At one point, Hannah says: "When you mess with one part of a person's life, you're not messing with just that part. Unfortunately, you can't be that precise and selective. When you mess with one part of a person's life, you're messing with their entire life. Everything...affects everything."<br/><br/>This is a huge takeaway from this book, and something everyone needs to hear. Yes, some parts of this book were dramatic, but overall, the heart of it was realistically tragic."
