In the follow-up to Abbi Glines’s #1 New York Times bestseller Until Friday Night—which bestselling author Kami Garcia called “tender, honest, and achingly real”—three teens from a small southern town are caught in a dramatic love triangle.Willa can’t erase the bad decisions of her past that led her down the path she’s on now. But she can fight for forgiveness from her family. And she can protect herself by refusing to let anyone else get close to her. High school quarterback and town golden boy Brady used to be the best of friends with Willa—she even had a crush on him when they were kids. But that’s all changed now: her life choices have made her a different person from the girl he used to know. Gunner used to be friends with Willa and Brady, too. He too is larger than life and a high school football star—not to mention that his family basically owns the town of Lawton. He loves his life, and doesn’t care about anyone except himself. But Willa is the exception—and he understands the girl she’s become in a way no one else can. As secrets come to light and hearts are broken, these former childhood friends must face the truth about growing up and falling in love…even if it means losing each other forever.

"Pretty good. This author likes to talk about heavy stuff and its tough. But I liked the way the characters handled it at the end. Great storyline for both these characters. But there was way too many editing errors. It was kind of hard to read with it happening almost every chapter. I guess the editor was in a rush or something to not notice the big mistakes. It was still good. And I can't wait to continue reading this series!"
"DNF @ page 6.

I can’t stand the long winded sentences. The prose is.... okay. This has switching POV which sometimes I find fun, depending on the author. This was not this instance.

It’s nothing too remarkable. I did flip through the rest of the book (how scandalous!!) and didn’t really find anything that made me want to finish it. I did find an instance of sexism while flipping through it (ugh!), so there’s another drawback.

Is it too much to hope for a good contemporary high school novel that isn’t about drama or ancient stereotypes? Yes? What a shame....

Might have to pick it up again to see if I change my mind, but that will have to be wayyy later on."
"Love all her books. This was my second fav. It was a cute love story with kinda a dark past. 7/10"

"Very cute ending! I loved the crossovers from the first book and reading about Willa and Gunner!! However, only 3 stars for me just because it seemed a bit slow like there wasn’t much else going on but the connections between Willa, Brady, and Gunner, and Willa and Gunner’s backstories. There just wasn’t enough plot to keep me interested to not want to put the book down. I still recommend it!"
"This book is a book that is slow burn it makes you want to scream and shout and say “date already” but in the end you are more than satisfied with the results the steaming and cute romance to best friend to lovers that Gunner and Willa has is beyond amazing despite other friendships surpassing into love for Willa the love they share is unbreakable no matter if they reveal the worlds deepest dirties secrets there love remains intact and unbroken "
