Bad Things

"⭐️1/2 “Girls Do Bad Things” Shudders new original film Bad Things draws from many horror films while ultimately casting a spell all its own. Really wanted to like this film and have been anticipating for the last month. Unfortunately I was let down but cinematography actually is good with very well executed shots. The actors themselves aren’t bad at all especially Gayle Rankin and Annabelle Dexter-Jones. (who I love from Succession) They just try to juggle too many elements and fail miserably. By the time the film wraps up you left wondering what’s real and a host of other things that didn’t make add up. There isn’t a lot of chemistry here either. If your looking for originality trust me it’s not really here. This is like the Shining Lesbian edition but I don’t mean that in a good way. But who knows a queer horror film might be enough for some of y’all to enjoy it but not me. I wouldn’t say it’s not atleast worth checking out for your own opinion."

"Not a lot happens in this LGBT+ psychological movie. Even when you think it's picking up, it doesn't. The end is confusing (at least for me). I also thought that it took a lot of tropes from The Shining instead of being its own original thing... It bored me overall. "
