"I was never a big fan of this series until movie 3. So, I was really excited for this movie. But it's so bad. The entire movie itself just seems to lack heart, & you understand why Adam Sandler left his passion project. You can see they're trying to rehash the 1st movies plot in so many ways, but I already saw that movie I don't need to see a worse version of it. The 1st movie was about accepting Johnny, a human,the 2nd about accepting Dennis, as human or vampire, the 3rd about Mavis accepting her dad's love life. The 4th? About accepting Johnny. . . .& the other 2 sequels showed their relationship strengthen. This 4th one threw it all away. Also, they have a moment where they say they can't freeze other vampires yet Dennis his vampire grandson is frozen in that moment. Also, when he's chasing Johnny, he doesn't use this to stop him & turn him back. If they're gonna change his powers, can they at least make sure it works with the plot they're giving? I swear its like the writers watched the 1st movie when it first came out & thought "I know enough to make the 4th movie here." You may think I'm being harsh but once you watch this movie you'll see exactly what I mean. It's not that they don't have characters from the later sequels but they truly ignore the development they went through in movies past. Especially if you watch all 4 back to back. There's just so much wrong here. They try to wow you with the over the top animation that really comes on too strong. Don't get me wrong, I love animation but in this movie it seems like they're trying to be too much. Drac and his family always moved a lot with their bodies, but this is too much. Maybe it's the redesigns on some characters but you can tell Sony is trying to wow you with animation over a good story. It's honestly sad to see the series end on this. But what do you expect from Amazon? Of course, they'd ruin something so simple. "

"As a stand alone, Hotel Movie. This is a nice movie, with familiar, well liked characters from the prior movies! However it is sad to watch a "Hotel" movie without Adam as Dracula's voice. An it is also, rehashing the same story of Drac. and Johnathan not understanding each others differences."
