"I absolutely LOVED Season 1, but Season 2 was just a 3.25/5 for me…. The acting, the set, and costumes of S2 were great, but Truman kinda ended up being a back-stabber & talked too much about how he used to be so pretty 🙄 A truly talented author though!! Also loved Naomi Watts’ character and felt bad for the real life person she was portraying… Truman let her down! 😢 "

"Entertaining but so heartbreaking to see how tragic Truman Capote’s life was! He seemed to lead such a tortured existence. Addiction only fuels that pain. Great performances by an incredible ensemble cast (Chloe Sevigny is always fun to watch). Treat Williams’ final role."

"The plot line of the first series almost seems to bog down two- thirds in with just too much feuding, too much nastiness, despite fascinating insights into the Hollywood star system and two pretty amazing leads. Both Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange deliver performances as big as the stars they represent, both outstanding depictions of Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. Just when it seems too maudling, the series is saved by the last episode with a more adventurous way of storytelling depicting their very complex relationship. Overall this show isn’t as stunning as it could be but well worth watching nevertheless "

"If you love old Hollywood, this is a must watch! I rewatched What Ever Happened to Baby Jane before watching this and it definitely was worth it. Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon are brilliant. Lots of big name cameos too. Highly recommend for a little glimpse into the lives of the old Hollywood stars and the rivalry between them. The show also makes a big statement about aging women in Hollywood and their need to maintain relevancy . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"I wasn’t sure what to expect as I hadn’t seen any advertising for this, but with 2 strong females leads and such a great true story I figured it would be good. It was a really good series. It focuses a lot more on the latter part of the women’s careers though which I didn’t realize when I started it. I thought it would be a lot glamorous, but it showed a much darker lonelier side to their lives. "
