I'm looking for time travel plot lines where the main character is working towards a goal and getting closer to achieving it each attempt, bonus points if towards the end they realize they were making a mistake at the beginning of each attempt and their final attempt they do things differently from the start or if they repeatedly have setbacks like that and have to reevaluate their strategy multiple times. Fantasy is also fine, just posted this here assuming sci-fi would be more common for this
