"Another good one by Moriarty. I like her clever writing and honest characters, and this was another interesting and unusual story line. "

"What can I say about this book. Listen to people, when they are trying to give you important information. I felt so bad for Saskia because to me I don't think she meant any harm. Can you please tell me what you thought of the ending? I want to hear from you."

"This book was just “okay”. Although it was well written I continued waiting for it to be a GOOD read with a plot that got better..it didn’t "

"This is such a sloowww book. HOWEVER, I loved the story and how it revealed misunderstandings in relationships. It also debunks the myths of hypnosis and healing."

"Very fun book- with an interesting plot. The main character felt like hanging out with a funny, smart friend. While some of the themes are heavy (stalking) the characters are treated with compassion, and while there’s lots of drama, nothing too terrible happens."

"I know I only gave this book three stars, but I actually enjoyed it greatly. It was lightly suspenseful but not really. It wasn’t demanding, had a satisfyingly happy ending, and all the loose ends were neatly tied up in a bow. It had a light touch of self-reflection and Moriarty, as usual, writes with striking accuracy about motherhood and parent-child relationships. But - this isn’t exactly literature, and it could be quite repetitive. The protagonist was a bit too perfect (though thank goodness, there ARE hints of character growth in her). It’s a fascinating premise and I loved how Moriarty examined the “villain” in a new light - truly as the protagonist of her OWN story. Rarely is the antagonist given a voice and complex motivations.

I would recommend this as a summer read - or a “during a stressful time of life when you need an escape” read!"
