"A great story about the dynamics of race and power in a college dorm setting. "

"This was the absolute weirdest book I've ever read. Nearly 13 hours, and I don't have a clue what it was even about except a very messy group of people at a Southern college. The students, the RAs, and even a professor - the whole lot of them - were messy and just odd. So much lying and talking about people and whining. Two stars because it kept my attention as I waited for it to get better, but alas...it never did. Disappointing too because I loved her first novel, but this one felt like it lost its way."
