"Am I the only one not understanding the good reviews? I thought this book was awful. With all the wonderfully woven mystery and thriller books out there, this uninspired book couldn’t even compare. Characters making huge assumptions and then accepting them as gospel, cliche plot devices, unrealistic dialogue and “twists” that you can see coming from so far away that they don’t even qualify as twists. A character casually floats the name of a potential suspect in the first few chapters and all of a sudden every character in the book is referring to the killer by name with zero evidence or further proof. So absurd! And after the 10th time the killer inexplicably snuck into the house despite being surrounded by police I almost DNF due how ridiculous the book had become. You could see the killer reveal coming from a mile away yet the motive was a reach at best. Honestly, this book got plain silly. The Goosebumps books I used to reach as a YA were better written than this. "

"Great read. Love a good slasher. The ending definitely had me shocked. The ending was classic Natasha Preston (very open) but did not feel unfinished as many of her endings do!"
