Everyone says I’m a bad girl. They’re only partly right—I don’t let fear rule me, and I certainly don’t care what people think. But I draw the line at sleeping with the enemy. As the daughter of Briar’s head hockey coach, I’d be vilified if I hooked up with a player from a rival team. And that’s who Jake Connelly is. Harvard’s star forward is arrogant, annoying, and too attractive for his own good. But fate is cruel—I require his help to secure a much-coveted internship, and the sexy jerk isn’t making it easy for me.I need Connelly to be my fake boyfriend. For every fake date…he wants a real one.Which means this bad girl is in big trouble. Nothing good can come from sneaking around with Jake Connelly. My father would kill me, my friends will revolt, and my post-college career is on the line. But while it’s getting harder and harder to resist Jake’s oozing sex appeal and cocky grin, I refuse to fall for him. That’s the one risk I’m not willing to take. "As usual, very good book by Elle Kennedy. Loves the enemies to lovers trope. So predictable but it’s a good cheesy romance. Jake Connelly has a special place in my heart. "

"I loved this one and it was an easy read. I genuinely liked the characters and I love the “enemies to lovers/forbidden romance” trope. The only person I didn’t like was hazel really, which probably isn’t uncommon. She was just very annoying. I didn’t really like Brenna’s dad and her relationship, but maybe it’s just because I couldn’t relate to it. Other than that, it was wonderful. Steamy in all the right places and still had a substantial plot. I’ll definitely finish the series. "

"i loved this book, the tension and the flirtatious enemies thing was such a good plot, yes it was predictable but the story had so many extra little details that added to it that made it sooo soo good."

"Rated this book 5 stars. Honestly I liked this book way better than The Chase. I loved Brenna’s confidence and the way she carried herself. I love her’s and Jake’s relationship especially because he never fell for a girl until Brenna. "

"Second book in the Briar U series and really liked this one. There’s Something about meeting up with the enemy, the rival teammate, that makes the angst hotter."
