"I don't know why I keep reading these books, even though they annoy the hell out of me. I like the adventures, I suppose. But my biggest pet peeve of the books so far is how many times a statement, phrase, or description is repeated - even within the same chapter, or the same paragraph. I get that when you go from one book to the next, some of the main points need to be re-described in the next book in case someone starts in the middle. But sheesh, this author has no faith in his readers'ability to remember what additive and subtractive magic are, what a war wizard is, and the 47 other things that keep getting repeated and repeated and repeated and repeated on every page. This would have only been a 2-star review, but the story was actually pretty good in places, so I added a star. <br/><br/>I'm committing to reading one more of these books. If the next one is anything like the last two I have read, I may actually stop reading them in spite of my compulsion to read an entire series if it has been written."
