"This was my second time reading through this book and it is still one of my all-time favorites. I would recommend reading on or two chapters at a time and then reading a short summary and analysis. Not only does this help with all the strong symbolism, foreshadowing, and allusions that Dickens makes, it also adds enjoyment to the reading. This book has one of the most satisfying and dissatisfying endings of all time. Each character has depth, especially Lucie. I even look forward to reading this again soon. My favorite quote is found in Book 2, Chapter 13. This classic gets a 5/5 from me."

"It is very interesting, beautiful, and obviously well written since its a dickens book, but i could hardly understand the story without reading the spark notes with it and i struggled with my assessments on it in school 🥲"

"4.5 stars - There is so much exposition in this book before things start to pick up; however, I enjoyed even the slower chapters. A Tale of Two Cities didn’t even feel very long because it was so fun to read. Sydney Carton is a ******* KING and I will go down swinging for that man."

"I absolutely ADORED this book. This was the first time I'd read anything by Dickens, and I was not expecting to like it because normally long descriptions drive me crazy. The plot, characters, even Dickens's style were all amazing. The ending made me want to bawl."

"If your really into historical books, Charles dickens uses the French Revolution as a way to expose the dark and light sides of human character, nature of justice, religion and politics in society. "
