"A classic fairytale turned on its head, it was a fun ride to get to meet the characters with reversed roles and new situations. The illustrations are just beautiful!"

"It’s hard for me to rate horror books because I don’t want to say I like the horrible actions of the characters. Like this book was deeply disturbing. The book definitely isn’t a light horror book. The art is beautiful and has so much detail. I’m not a great lover of the story, some horror elements maybe weren’t needed, but I enjoy the art and the flipped fairytale."
"This was an interesting take on the tale of Snow White. Gaiman took a horror route when re-imagining the classic tale, and I thought it was incredibly creative. But the nudity and erotica was just weird and out of place. I just didn’t think it fit well and was off-putting with the amount of sexual references on almost every page. I’d rather it just be a grotesque horror than a sexual one."
"I honestly don’t know how to rate or review this graphic novel because while the story was interesting (darker, twisted version of Snow White) and the art style was absolutely gorgeous (the level of detail on every single panel and full page was incredible), I just didn’t find myself satisfied by the end of the reading experience. It might be mainly because the ending was kind of blah and it led me to believe that I was going to end one way and it ended by coming out of no where with the prince coming when the story was essentially finished. This was very, very sexually graphic and gorier than I had anticipated, so just go into this with that awareness that this isn’t some tame graphic novel of a fairy tale (especially if you or your kids think that’s what this thing is)."
"Whew! I read this for my class a couple of days ago. I was thoroughly warned about the graphic nature and still hadn't expected most of what happened. IT WAS AMAZING. I feel weird for loving this adaptation of the Grimm Brother's fairytale, but holy heck it was good. I wish more writers out there were brave enough to take such dark twists on well-known childhood fairytales!"
