Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Sky in the Deep in this bewitching historical horror novel, perfect for fans of Holly Black and V.E. Schwab! Seventeen-year-old Aderyn ("Ryn") only cares about two things: her family and her family's graveyard. And right now, both are in dire straits. Since the death of their parents, Ryn and her siblings have been scraping together a meager existence as gravediggers in the remote village of Colbren, which sits at the foot of a harsh and deadly mountain range that was once home to the fae. The problem with being a gravedigger in Colbren, though, is that the dead don't always stay dead. The risen corpses are known as "bone houses," and legend says that they're the result of a decades-old curse. When Ellis, an apprentice mapmaker with a mysterious past, arrives in town, the bone houses attack with new ferocity. What is it that draws them near? And more importantly, how can they be stopped for good? Together, Ellis and Ryn embark on a journey that will take them into the heart of the mountains, where they will have to face both the curse and the deeply-buried truths about themselves. Equal parts classic horror novel and original fairy tale, The Bone Houses will have you spellbound from the very first page. An instant IndieBound bestseller!

"Definitely not a fast pace book but if you are a patient reader than I recommend. I loved it, I loved the characters and the vibe and it was such a beautiful book. It deals with life and death and grief. Overall beautiful. I also want a pet goat now"

"The main characters need to protect and provide for others paired well with the fact the story didn’t actually revolve around the main character. Not everything is about you lol"

"The story was not what I was expecting. I thought it would be darker, but it's actually my new favorite cozy romantasy. It was a quick read for me, and I had to stop myself from pushing aside everything on my schedule just to binge read this. Lovely book :3"

"Just finished this last night and it went above my expectations, it had me on the edge of my seat at times. It was a thrilling experience and I finally found another story where I care about the characters and there motives. Not a masterpiece but i enjoyed it more then I disliked anything. Definitely want to find more books from this author!"

"My best friend recommended this book to me, because I have been looking for a really good spooky book, and I’m so glad she recommended this one, because it was simply…amazing. The two main characters are so amazing, and seeing their character development was so satisfying. This book was also pretty spooky, which I love because I have always been a lover of the spooky and morbidness of the world. Great book 5/5 ⭐️"
