"My favorite thing about this book is how fast-paced it was. It was to the point right from the start and had a pretty good plot twist. It had good imagery and I found myself wincing and practically turning into a ball during the more vivid and intense sections. I liked the narrative of being able to read from both characters' point of view. "

"This book was so disturbing and I absolutely loved it. My favorite podcast host, you knocked it out of the park. Was glued to my seat; I think this is the fastest I’ve ever read a book. "

"I had high expectations and was unfortunately disappointed. I’ve been a listener of Morbid since the beginning and was stoked to see what Alaina came up with but this really fell short. Some parts were confusing. A few things that should’ve been addressed were just forgotten it seems. 2.5/5⭐️"

"I liked it, and it kept me interested throughout. I do listen to the Morbid podcast (although I just started a few months ago so not really listened to many episodes), and that was nice to know the author in that way. Many of the things she touched on in the book, I felt like I had insider knowledge because I've heard her conversate about these topics on the podcast."

"5 stars for 3 reasons. Firstly, she deserves it because this was first book and it’s significantly better than other writers 5th book. Secondly, because I’m a forensics dweeb and she heavily incorporated that into her story, which is hard to find in a book. And lastly, because when I realized there is going to be another book coming I couldn’t wait. "

"Listen. I liked it. But it was just okay. It kept me interested but it was her first. I enjoyed the striking style and has wild super wild twists "

"A really good first book. I look forward to reading more about Wren. I found it a slow start but by the middle I was hooked. "

"I really wanted to like this one. It started out so well, but 50 pages in and I could tell the author was trying too hard to make her debut memorable and it just didn't work out. "
