Lucy Score
Bestselling author Lucy Score returns to Knockemout, Virginia, following fan-favorite Things We Never Got Over with Knox's brother Nash's story. Nash Morgan was always known as the good Morgan brother, with a smile and a wink for everyone. But now, this chief of police is recovering from being shot and his Southern charm has been overshadowed by panic attacks and nightmares. He feels like a broody shell of the man he once was. Nash isn't about to let anyone in his life know he's struggling. But his new next-door neighbor, smart and sexy Lina, sees his shadows. As a rule, she's not a fan of physical contact unless she initiates it, but for some reason Nash's touch is different. He feels it too. The physical connection between them is incendiary, grounding him and making her wonder if exploring it is worth the risk. Too bad Lina's got secrets of her own, and if Nash finds out the real reason she's in town, he'll never forgive her. Besides, she doesn't do relationships. Ever. A hot, short-term fling with a local cop? Absolutely. Sign her up. A relationship with a man who expects her to plant roots? No freaking way. Once she gets what she's after, she has no intention of sticking around. But Knockemout has a way of getting under people's skin. And once Nash decides to make Lina his, he's not about to be dissuaded...even if it means facing the danger that nearly killed him.

Honestly? I didn’t think I would enjoy this book that much but ,wow! was I wrong. It was really good, but make sure you read the first book to understand. 💖❤️ The bonus scene was really good. You get to read all about the characters and where they are in the future, so make sure to check it out. 🤗

"Didn't really like the first book. I enjoyed the second book slightly more than the first. I hope the third book is good bc Sloane is my favorite of the female characters"

"This book was so mid for me. It took me a whole month to finish and I forced myself to since I purchased the audiobook. I just didn’t care for any of these characters. Will not be reading the third book."

"Compared to the first one, this one wasn’t as good. In fact, I think this book is why I’m in a romance slump at the moment. I need to take a break before I read the third book. There was something about Nash being so dependent on Lina that felt more than a little uncomfy."

*Southern charm

"The antics continue in Knockemout, all the local townspeople make an appearance. This was a fun read, with badass insurance bounty-hunter Lina and Nash as the main characters. Definitely lots of build up to the third novel."

"This was an excellent story about how Nash is trying to find a criminal and unexpectedly opens his heart to a dog and a woman. The first 100 pages were a little slow but then the whole story takes off. "

"Oh my god !!! Perfect slow burn. This was so much better than the first one. Nash is clearly the better Morgan brother. Loved the characters. The plot was great. Full of action. Loved the humour. "

"STOP IT! this one was so good! the morgan brothers WHEW other than the incredible, swoons, spicy romance that nash and lina have, I really enjoyed the emotional journey they took. a small-town, mystery, sort of enemies to lovers, guy falls first romance! ugh this one was so sweet and spicy I loved it! ooh also we got to see more into knox and naomi’s life which was amazing!!"
