"Book 1 Throne of Glass- The start to an amazing series. If you read this you will be sucked into a world of magic, fae and romance. Our heroine starts off as an assassin but becomes so much more! "

"This is probably my favorite book club read of the year! The plot is so interesting, and the imagery was fantastic and tangible. I’m not really a fan of fantasy, but I LOVED this!"

"A decent first book, with a seemingly predictable love triangle in the offing. If I had not already bought the second and third books, I don’t know if I would have felt it necessary to continue. I am glad I did though in the long run. "

"Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
2/5 stars ⭐ ⭐
I don't think this is for me, I wanted real battles, and feats, the main part of the book (the competition) was mostly glossed over with huge chunks entirely skipped for barely interesting banter, bravado, a stupid ball and an eye rolling love triangle. Also the mysterious backstory is plain for all to see."

"I read the first book in this series for a book club, and I’ll be honest, I didn’t enjoy it very much. I thought the author relied way too heavily on telling and not showing. The main character felt underdeveloped and almost verged on a Mary Sue archetype, which was very unfortunate because I love powerful women in my books. However, this one just felt poorly written. The book also leans into some racist stereotypes regarding the WOC side characters that were uncomfortable to read to say the least. Overall, this book was not for me. Nothing against other readers if they got enjoyment out this series, but it is definitely not one I will be going back to. "

"I wasn’t big on fantasy books before this but this book alone changed my perspective on them. This book contained romance, tragedy etc. while still maintaining the magical aspects of fantasy. I loved Celeanas character and how the story progressed. It was so easy to continue reading and there was never a moment where I was bored. "

"Could not put this book down. Another great book by Sarah J. Maas. It reminded me a little of the Hunger Games but more of a fantasy and magical aspect. Can’t wait to continue on this series"
