"This book was everything! The plot twists just never stopped coming and I was absolutely speechless! I couldn't put it down until it was over and immediately moved to the sequel"
"** Contains Some Spoilers **
This book was great at first. Then it started becoming more like The Maze Runner and Divergent with the factions, the robots, and the "prison break" plot. The cover is also misleading, as I did not really uncover a lot of shocking betrayal in this book. Overall, I was very disappointed. "
"This was the book chosen by the high school kids at the book club I help with. I say this because it's not a book I would ever read the summary of and go "oh yes, must read." Having said that it was better than I expected but annoyed me enough that although the ending made me go "ok then what?" I didn't have the energy to read the next in the series. <br/><br/>Also, if you enjoy playing paintball and think "man I wish more books had paintball scenes" then I would recommend this book. However, if like me you think "The idea of playing paintball has no interest for me and the idea of reading about it sounds even more painful" well I would suggest either a) skip the book or b) if the premise intrigues you enough, to just skim/skip the paintball scenes. I did, and you don't really need them for the overall plot. <br/><br/>There were two twists in this book-- I don't really have an opinion on them either way. They were neither earth-shattering but my eye-rolling was fairly low-level. Although of the two twists the second was more "um what? Why?'<br/><br/>Oh the protagonist is male so it could be a good recommendation for young male readers, particularly if they're into paintball and/or reluctant readers because it read pretty fast."

"Hands down the best book I’ve ever read so far, I had to read it in school but it was one of those books where it sucked me in and I just couldn’t stop reading. "
