Aprilynne Pike
"I can't just storm in and proclaim my intentions. I can't ‘steal' you away. I just have to wait and hope that, someday, you'll ask," Tamani said."And if I don't?" Laurel said, her voice barely above a whisper."Then I guess I'll be waiting forever."Although Laurel has come to accept her true identity as a faerie, she refuses to turn her back on her human life—and especially her boyfriend, David—to return to the faerie world. But when she is summoned to Avalon, Laurel's feelings for the charismatic faerie sentry Tamani are undeniable. She is forced to make a choice—a choice that could break her heart.

"Yeah, not for me at this time. No can do fairies and trolls for a whole series. Not sure if I will ever come back to it or not just because it's not my style."

"This book is honestly such a good book. Although it’s the second book of a series, (I always finish book series) it didn’t feel like I had to force myself to continue the series. I love this book😛"

"I thought the first one was good. This one was even better! I love Laurel. She is strong, resourceful and knows what she wants in life. I am beginning to love Tamani more and more as I continue this series. I was also intrigued by Avalon and the Academy. It was also really cool to hear about the New Years Eve festival in Avalon. I wasn't too happy with the way the book ended but I am more interested in what Tamani was insinuating towards for the next book. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and will try to get it as soon as possible. If you liked Tithe by Holly Black or Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr then you will LOVE this book series."
