The Power of One - Likewise Book Reviews
"I would have to say that this is one of the best books I have ever read and it made me a big fan of Courtenay's.<br/>It's the story of Peekay, a young English boy, growing up in South Africa, during WWII. The reader is taken inside Peekay's world and how he deals with racism, growing up and fighting for his dreams. I laughed, cried and smiled through the whole book."

"My uncle recommended it to me and told me it was moving and powerful. It was definitely those things but it was also really long and I just didn’t find it that interesting. It’s beautifully written and very poetic and it’s definitely a very good book, just not personally my cup of tea.
