“Armageddon only happens once, you know. They don’t let you go around again until you get it right.” According to the Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch – the world’s only totally reliable guide to the future, written in 1655, before she exploded – the world will end on a Saturday. Next Saturday, in fact. Just after tea… People have been predicting the end of the world almost from its very beginning, so it’s only natural to be sceptical when a new date is set for Judgement Day. This time though, the armies of Good and Evil really do appear to be massing. The four Bikers of the Apocalypse are hitting the road. But both the angels and demons – well, one fast-living demon and a somewhat fussy angel – would quite like the Rapture not to happen. And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist…

"I've been enjoying other Neil Gaiman books and thought I'd finally read this (I haven't watched the show yet). It's full of British humor and satire. People who like Monty Python would enjoy it. "

"Listened to the audio book. It's a ridiculous and funny story. You'll smile often."

"“The Apocalypse has never been funnier.” -Clive Barker. This is now a new comfort read. Crowley and Aziraphale remind me of Fred and George Weasley. They even remind me of Sirius Black and Remus Lupin😆"

"I have now watched the mini-series and listened to the audio book. And really, each iteration just makes me love this more. Next up, reading the book!"

"Order food in. Definitely a cover-to-cover, glued to the chair experience! Brilliant. "

"This was a great book but I have to say I loved the show better. The beginning of the book was better but the end of the show is better. The book just drags the ending on making it harder to read. Another thing was that there was no chapters so it was harder to pause. There were new paragraphs with different scenes so I would pause at those. "

"I actually rather liked the premise - good and evil and humanity as the Ultimate Neutral, "accidental" switch of the kiddo, God being less All Benign Almighty and more "I Wanna See What Happens When I Do This" Super Scientist - which has always been my personal theory, not gonna lie; we are just one giant science experiment and Earth is the petrie dish - but unfortunately I was rather bored with how the story was told. Rambling writing styles with lots of tangents and asides is fun, but it's more appropriate for shorter books, else it gets a bit tedious. I think this is one where I will enjoy the tv show more than i enjoy the book."
