"This was a phenomenal book. Sci fi with great heart and humanity and all its flaws. The characters and the worlds were practically tactile and honestly, omg, the characters were just great. The book moves slowly so you really get to know them. Even though it’s a perfect book and there’s no reason to follow it up with another, toward the end I found myself wishing it was the first in a series so I could stay with them longer. "
"DNF at 57%, which truly pains me. I really enjoyed the first 20% of this book. The writing is beautiful, I would definitely consider reading a different title by this author. Unfortunately the story became slow and a bit boring. I also had a hard time investing in the second set of characters. I felt the cast, plot and atmosphere that was originally introduced was more interesting than where the book ultimately led."
"This book is something I never would have read if I knew what it was about but I'm so glad I did! Very intense and intricate plot. Great characters with lots of depth. I was never sure where the author was going with this story but I was very satisfied with the ending! I think I'll even read again someday."
"I’m not usually one for sci-fi but this book may have changed all that. The story is beautifully written and balances the perspectives of each of the characters in a way that adds so much richness to an already intricate plot. The world building is well done and the characters feel real (even the most outrageous ones). I laughed and cried and gasped all throughout the book. It is definitely a memorable one and surely worthy of a second read."
