"Not gonna really review this. It’s a classic. If you don’t know the plot: Four sisters and their mother are managing for a year while their father/husband is serving in the war. Takes place in the mid 19th century.<br/>The first chapter is incredibly dull. The rest of the book does a great job of carving out the individual personalities of each sister: Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. Other people they know/meet come into the story and it truly is a solid book about how much we evolve and grow in the course of just a year. I read an annotated version with interesting facts about the time period and about Louisa May Alcott and what inspired her to write the book. That definitely increased my liking of the book."

"Y’all I’m must confess I’m a BIG FAT LIAR 🤥. I Love love love all three adaptions of the movie, but I haven’t gotten around to reading the book. They say shame is what keeps us honest. So I will direct my feeling of guilt into an attempt to actually reading it ☺️. Love you my loyal followers, again my sincerest apologies. #coming_of_age "

"I really really enjoyed this!! Very much the definition of a cozy book and is the perfect read for this time of year! I would’ve probably given it 5 stars if *spoiler alert* (do I need to put a spoiler warning for an almost 150 year old book?"
