this book went in directions I can not even begin to explain. It always left me guessing from the very first page. Dare I say that Alex sjm’ed us at the end????? Very ToG feels and I’m distraught. "The emotional damage that was just inflicted upon me. Holy heck with this love triangle and the two “Who did this to you” MMCs!!! 1000x yes to this sequel to Lightlark. The juxtaposition of present tense with glimpses of Isla and Grims past, built a crazy amount of tension. The way I was glued to the last 25% of this book. I don’t know if I need a minute to recover or if I’m thrilled that Skyshade was just released. Oh, who am I kidding?…I’m digging in immediately."

I feel like after reading this one it made me appreciate the world and the series more!! At first I struggled with the first book and the writing of it, however I listened to it as an audio book and enjoyed it a lot more. For some reason the writing was really hard to understand in the first book so either it was me or the writing completely changed in the second book haha!!!
But I did enjoy it!! It was fast paced and kept me entertained which I really loved!! I’m all about plot twist endings and loved the ending! "
