"I LOVE ODD THOMAS!!!!....After reading this 3rd book in the series....I just love Odd Thomas and his wonderful character. He is so witty and so polite. He still says 'Yes, Mam' and 'Yes, Sir' and he thinks of the most insane and hilarious things that I can actually relate too. Out of the 3 books....this one was my favorite. I loved having the story unfold in a monastery...there is something about the place that always gives me such peace and comfort whenever I read a book centered around one. The nuns are adorable and the monks are so sweet.....and very unique. Brother 'Knuckles' Salvatori was a hoot.....New Jersey accent with a boxer's face....yet he was so kind-hearted and easy to love. Having Elvis along for the ride was great because you got to see him blossom and become happy....no more crying.<br/><br/>At the beginning....the creatures in this book were so bizarre I was wondering if it was going to turn into some sort of alien encounter and that would have ticked me off....for that is NOT what Odd Thomas is all about....but I was greatly relieved to find that this was not so. Another great character was Mr. Romanovich, who professed to be a librarian from Indianapolis. He was Russian and the way his wit bounced off of Odd's wit....it was extremely entertaining.<br/><br/>I just felt so cozy and warm when I read this book.....like I could just stay in this place all the time.....that is a good book to me when it comforts me and let's me feel at home. I am going to be sooooo sad when this collection comes to an end....I feel like Odd is my brother and I really will miss him. I'm so glad I finally took the time to read these books.....they have brought fun and joy into my surroundings and thoughts by bringing them into my world...."

"I feel like I wasted so brain space and time on this book... I like the character Odd Thomas and I always want him to pull through so I forced my way through this book. But my goodness the majority of this book,in my opinion, was rambling... I was so happy to finally get around to figuring out the why's and how's and who's involved in the mystery.<br/>I did like the the dialogue and relationship development between Odd and some of the characters bit over all I was disappointed with the book as a whole.<br/>Out of the series I've only liked the first book and I'm hoping rest of the series is better..But I'm in no rush to get to them..."
