Pride and Prejudice and Zombies - Likewise Book Reviews
"Okay, this was really silly, but the idea of Lady Catherine as a ninja warrior cracked me up. Best line: Jane's letter home from Netherfield (she stays over due to a zombie attck, not a cold) "Aside from a few bruises and a minor stab wound, there is nothing much the matter with me".

If you love P&P but have a senseof humor about it, give this a shot."
"At first, I had a really hard time getting into this book......I think it was the fact that my mind was trying to grasp Jane Austen era speak with modern day zombiedom......I had to just sit back and enjoy the bizarreness of it......I ended up thinking it was hilarious and am STILL a huge fan of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy....*sigh*......the story is still very romantic and very funny with the zombie addition.....I still can't stand Mrs. Bennett and Lydia......but that is just how the story is written.....overall....very funny and enjoyable book!!!!...."

"I was disappointed with this book. I knew it would be kind of silly, but I wasn't expecting certain aspects of it to be so contrived feeling: the bits about zombies, fighting off zombies, etc. are not the seamless insertions that I expected. Each time I got to one of these sections, I would roll my eyes. That being said, I still read the whole thing. It's entertaining enough if you don't let those jarring moments bother you too much."
"This is an odd book. I think I appreciate it more than I actually like it....the author has woven the zombies so neatly into the story and the idea is extremely clever. However, I don't find it to be a lot of fun to read, perhaps because I don't really enjoy Jane Austen's style of writing, which the author is expertly aping."
