"Early Follet page turner is better than most of his later work. "

"I've been meaning to read Ken Follett for years now, but I didn't think I would start with one of his first novels. I am also slightly ashamed to admit I didn't think I would like this, but turns out I love historical spy novels, especially when they are sprinkled with such interesting historical facts. This was fast paced and easy to read, two qualities I have found are particularly engaging to me during this time. I still want to tackle Pillars of the Earth or another of Follett's large and time investing novels, but it's kind of the opposite of what works for me right now!"

"Loved it. Couldn’t put it down. Felt the anxiety of the moments, felt deeply for each character. Highly recommend "
