"The emotions invoked at times in this book are really interesting like .. ughhhh.. "

"This was amazing! It’s the 3rd book in the Earthsea series, and I loved it! A lot of the story from the Studio Ghibli movie was pulled from this book. Both the movie and this book explore the same concept of life and death and fear of death. The biggest difference between the book and movie was Arren’s storyline. His storyline made more sense in the book and I enjoyed how it resolved. The book did help me understand what was going on in Earthsea during the movie and how everything works. I still love the movie and the books are worth reading to understand the movie and to get the full enjoyment out of it"

"Start with the first in the series: Wizard of Earthsea!"
"I enjoyed it quite a lot! At times it is a little slow, but that is how it needed to be told. I think I was a little impatient to find out what was going to happen and I might like it more on a reread in a few years. Like the first book, the story meanders, but I guess that's just Ged's style. Arren was the main disappointment, he's really boring. The Eastern philosophy stuff, i.e. the themes of death and life, was very interesting."
