"Second home run by this author in my opinion. When I saw in some of the other reviews it was a retelling of the original story I rolled my eyes but I liked the first one so much I picked up the second. It did not disappoint. It is a retelling of the original plot from 2 different characters perspectives. Even though it's a retelling it was done in such a manner it felt like a whole new book. I loved how when certain scenes intertwined it wasn't a copy and past of the original scene. Other than the dialogue used the scenes were done completely different and gave it a fresh and new feeling. Juniper is the polar opposite of Rae, she's a strong female lead who pulls no punches about not being a hero. She's in this for revenge and never hides that fact and she's a total badass, so much so she gives Zane a run for his money. Zane is a loveable arsehole. He's witty, strong, sexy and fun. Don't let any of that fool you because he too is a total badarse too and these two couldn't possibly be more meant for each other! They are going to give Hell some trouble when they finally get there, but no rush to that yet.<br/><br/>"

But it’s more fun and adventurous than I could have hoped for. The chemistry between the two characters is undeniable. I loved how unhinged and ruthless they were trying to seek out revenge for Juniper. I loved how Zane always doted on her even tho it was “out of character” for him. I loved Juniper’s growth! Yea she was already a badass, but I guess giving your soul to a delcious demon like Zane changes you for the better! Haha <br/><br/>It was a perfect blend of dark paranormal romance. Highly, HIGHLY, recommend!!"

Her Soul To Take Should be read first, as this book runs along the same timeline, and you will have a better understanding of events. <br/><br/> As much as this book is one of my most anticipated books of the year for me, I was worried about it being around the same timeline, details would be left out or changed. Rest assured, I should have known better with the author. She went into such great detail and didn’t change a thing. <br/><br/>The book starts with Juniper six years before the present, and what an intense start. Luckily, she survived and ran, only to return and seek revenge on those who wronged her and her family. Leon stalks Juniper for years, eagerly waiting for that moment to make a deal for her soul. <br/><br/><b> “A good hunter tracks his prey,” I said, “and waits for just the right moment to take his prize<br/> <br/><p> Never underestimate our girl Juniper, she is strong, sassy, puts up with nothing, and is murderous. She has been in survival mode for years and going from place to place. <br/><br/>Zane is everything, (sorry Leon) he is a hot, cocky, smooth talker, sadomasochistic, and just met his match. <br/><br/><b> “I haven’t even begun to wreck you, girl. You think you won this round? You’ve only made me crave breaking you more.” She grinned, flipping me off from the floor. “I’ve already wrecked you, demon boy. Round one goes to me.”  <br/><br/><p> The chemistry between Zane and Juniper is explosive. It made all my lady parts tingle. (I will have to take that out for a retail review). I bit down, hard, hard enough to have broken a mortal man’s fingers. But it only made Zane more vicious, it made him groan in pleasure as he ****** into me at a punishing pace.<br/><br/><p> This book is intense, wicked, dark, and what a wild ride. I had to brace myself a time to two. It’s well written, I have said this before, and It still holds true, what a vivid Imagination that the author articulates flawless through her writing. I love it when I can picture a whole world in front of me. We also have a glimpse of Everely and the <br/>perfect handoff to her book. <br/><br/>If you haven’t started this series and love spicy dark PNR, what are you waiting for? I highly recommend it."
