"As with the first one, action starts right away and keeps you turning the page from start to finish. "

"8/10 better than the first one! Fun and simple, you do get to explore things that felt a little glossed over in the first book. Another good summer read."

"3.5 star.

What went wrong here? Daughter of the Pirate King was witty and fun leaving you wanting more. Daughter of the Siren Queen left me wanting, not exactly the same thing. I loved the angst in the first book which should have been pached up early on in this story with how much we got strung a long last time. But alas, no.

Many more pirates were mentioned, the author throwing them in left and right, none with much of a backstory. So I could not connect with them. Also I learned that practically everyone was under 30 which wasn't very believable and seems to happen a lot in the YA genre.

The plot was less engaging than the last and the storyline not as solid. Didn't seem to go anywhere much. The first story held back in a good way but this one should have set everything free.

The whole time I felt as if everyone knew of Riden's feelings even Alosa. Every other scene they were hot, cold, hot, cold, hot, cold. Almost to the point we're I didn't care anymore. It was a little much. Even the ending didn't feel complete. Just needed a little more flare."

"OMGG this book was FULL of action, excitement, empathy, and love;) I love how the characters were acting their age, Alosa was acting like any teenage girl who is confused about her feelings for a boy~it’s a great sequel of the first book. It’s easy to read and I liked the ending! "

"This book was just as good as the first and is becoming my favorite series. My only complaint is there was a bit of too much repetition in the ending."
