"I thought it was clever, the way the tale was weaved. It’s a slow burn. "

"Spooky trip to an abandoned, haunted castle to restore a marriage (?), quickly goes sideways (who would have known?).
Head-spinning twists, odd characters and eerie scenes kept me reading! "

"Very entertaining. Not her ‘best’ work but a very solid mystery."

"Adam and Amelia go away for a weekend at the mysterious Blackwater Chapel. Multiple points of view and love letters are displayed throughout the story with a twist you couldn’t possibly see coming. This was a fun read. Sometimes I find stories with multiple pov and timelines to be tricky to follow, but each character and timeline was so distinctly different that it was a breeze. The twist…I absolutely didn’t see coming and for me made the story. Perhaps the only thing I’d change about this was how lengthy the beginning was working its way to the twist. The letters were a blast to read but the in between with Adam and Amelia at the Chapel were meh at times. 4/5 for me! "
