Only in Derry the haunting is real.... They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. "Although the book is never outright horrifying, it's a lot scarier than that 80's movie. It's very much a Stephen King book, kind of meandering and very long winded, and some of the ideas are very weird. (like really what is with the turtle and the ******** amongst kids?) It was however a good book though. "

"The book def seems like Stephen King was on something while writing it, but it made him three movies about it haha. (Im predicting they’re gonna remake this movie in another 27-ish years)"

"Steven king needs a cage he too good at writing books, so good I feel like he’s done this. only problem I have with the book is a underage $3x scene. Other then that it’s still terrifying "

"Genius writing, an epic plot and a couple moments you just have to skim over and ignore so you can enjoy what is otherwise a masterpiece of horror fiction. "

"Starting reading it but never finished…the writing was a bit of a drag! ⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"There are two things keeping this book from rating higher.
One is a creepy scene in the sewers (not creepy in a horror story way, but creepy in a "Dude, what is *wrong* with you?!" way).
The other has to do with a supernatural force that helps the kids. It's kinda 'meh'."
