"This was a good story, I loved the main character’s obsession with the occult, the dark and twisty nature of the unknown. I enjoyed that even though there were moments where she was a damsel in distress ultimately she always found a way to help rescue herself. The ultimate sacrifice was perfectly executed in my opinion. I wish we had learned a little more about the villains in the story. How Everly managed to get away and conjure so much power under the Hadleigh’s noses? Perhaps in the next installment we’ll find out what really happened to the god, how Callum came to be. Did cheesecake get fed after all? "

"I felt like this was unnecessarily long and there were parts that really weren’t needed for the story. Great for those dark romance girlies who like many kinks. By the time I got to chapter 37 I was ready for it to be over. It’s not bad but it’s not a series or something that I will continue. "

"Story: 📖 Spice: 🌶️🌶️ Honestly, this was a rough read. This story…UGH. There’s a lot and don’t get me wrong I don’t mind characters that are extremely dynamic but these character are written in hmm what’s the best way to describe it…in an “all over the place” kind of manner and it makes this very hard to enjoy If the intent was to make the FMC clumsy I get that. But making a clumsy character that makes horrible decision without a lack of a true reason for it makes no sense. I’ve read plenty of stories where the MCs are genuinely at a loss at how to attack a problem/situation. But, the behaviors I see here are heavily forced. It’s almost as though the FMC is just pulling straws out of a hat. If the FMC was meant to be written as dumb it wasn’t done in a smart way. I don’t like it. The overly excess flowery prose that just seems inserted to just be there is odd too. Everything is just a bit too much. Honestly I’d rather not finish this but I will. I’m pretty sure as well when I do I’ll still feel the same"
