"…And now I’m having regrets that I never committed to playing an instrument. I read this book in one sitting. I loved how it wasnt just about two people falling in love, but was also about their growth and healing as individuals. The build of the relationship between Alex and Gwen, the tension and chemistry, was so well written. Whenever they played music together it felt magical and the cello scene can live rent free in my head forever. I liked this one so much I immediately went and read her first novel, Forget Me Not. I loved this one so much more, but both are worth reading."

I really liked their chemistry around the middle and the things he does for her are absolutely swoon worthy. The ending felt very rushed and was unsatisfying. Ava and Mabel felt tragically underdeveloped, as did the explanation of their relationship. I’d read the spicy romantic scenes again, but not much else. "

I didn’t love when she was meeting his friends, it felt very fanfic-y in a way that I didn’t appreciate in a traditionally published book. The interpersonal relationship between them was good, but the end conflict was weak. Also, the fact that neither of them could realize that they were being manipulated by the conductor and the agent? Too stupid to have made it into adulthood tbh."
