My Sister, the Serial Killer meets Boy Parts, this literary feminist howl-of-a-debut is going to crawl right under your skin...Ji-won's life is in disarray. Her father's affair has ripped her family into mouli-like shreds, leaving her to piece her mother, her sister and their crappy lives back together. So, when her mother's obnoxious new white boyfriend, George, enters the scene, bragging about his flawed knowledge of Korean cuisine and ogling Asian waitresses in restaurants, Ji-won's hold over her emotions strains. As he gawks at her and her sister around their tiny, claustrophobic apartment, while her mother cooks mouthwatering soybean stew, she realises she is no longer angered by him, but obsessed with his brilliant blue eyeballs. As her fixation grows, Ji-won decides that she must do the one thing that will curb her cravings... After all, her hunger and her rage deserve to be sated...

"I didn't get what everyone was raving about. I was bored. I finished it expecting something great but no that either. "

"This book was nuts! I literally couldn't put it down. So surreal, so horrific, so good! "

"Not bad. I do think the ending was a bit unrealistic and kind of unsatisfying for some reason. I would give it 3.5 or 4 out of 5. "

"I loved learning about Korean culture, and I love an unhinged mc, but this book just wasn't for me. I must have put it down 4-5 times and completely forgot I was even reading it (for weeks at a time!). It's not the gore that bothers me, I'm just not a lit-fic girlie no matter how hard I try, and I'll keep trying different sub-genres including more lit-horror, but so far I just find myself bored. And it's saying something when a character is eating eyeballs and I'm bored."

"I thought it was interesting to follow this character through her insanity and trying to defend her family and her "feminist" like views. But it doesn't go very deep and can be hard to follow. "
