Everyone’s lives have become an endless list of don’ts: don’t water the lawn, don’t fill up your pool, don’t take long showers. Until the taps run dry. Suddenly, Alyssa’s quiet suburban street spirals into a warzone of desperation; neighbors and families turned against each other on the hunt for water. And when her parents don’t return and her life—and the life of her brother—is threatened, Alyssa has to make impossible choices if she’s going to survive.

"I enjoyed this book all the way through, although I do feel like the ending was maybe a little rushed as far as how the crisis was resolved. It felt kind of like after all of that journey and nearly dying everything is magically fixed within a few days. As much as I enjoyed it, the ending left me wanting just a little more"

"This is one of the most amazing and it really changed my perspective of life and the amount of water we consume. It was beautifully written and the words broke my heart, but gave me hope to create a better future for all of us. "
