"This book was so good. Such a wonderful juxtaposition of comedy and real life painful trauma. There were moments I was laughing so hard, I was wiping tears from my eyes and moments of Jacob’s anxiety/Bri’s abandonment issues that hit me right in the feels. Watching them blossom from co-workers to friends to more was so beautiful. I just loved how patient they were with each other. This book chronologically comes after “Part of Your World” and even though Alexis and Daniel make appearances in this book, it could potentially be a stand alone, although I would recommend reading both so you have the full background. Check the TWs."

"3.75 star. Finally, a character with diagnosed anxiety. I really liked Jacob. He was open and willing to talk about his problems. Pretty much a unicorn among men. Even so, we somehow had the miscommunication trope. Bri, our fmc, was not the same character from book one. Book one Bri was a flamboyant sassy sailor mouth. This Bri was bland in comparison. Still, I did love Bri's pettiness. It might have been one of the best things I have ever read. Geez, I wish I had known her ways before I got a devoice. It would have been much more fun. Besides that, the book was very lighthearted. Almost too much. Even so, I did enjoy the healthy relationship, and the subtly cute way Jacob was obsessed with Bri. Honestly, I forgot about the paranormal town trying to get people together thing. It really doesn't fit the story, but it's not enough to turn me against it either. Also, the inner monologing became repetitive, too. But Jacob and Bri were perfect, but they were perfect together. I'm enjoying Abby Jimenez's writing and am excited to pick up more of her work."
