"I’m fairly certain hat we all went through a vampire phase, and this book series was one of those book that immediately was added to the blood sucking list. As if being in junior high just wasn’t enough Vlad just doesn’t have his luck in the cards. He is being harassed the principle wants nothing to do with him, his crush prefers his best friend and his blood lust is out of control. As if things weren’t enough the substitute teacher begins to get closer and closer to Vlad and before you know it, he finds himself being hunted by a vampire killer. If you think that junior high is hard enough with all the homework and change in student politics, try putting yourself in the footsteps of a vampire who just can’t catch a break. While this may not be appropriate for the classroom, I know that I picked it up the second I saw it in my school library, and I was agony as I waited for each book to be released. I thought it was well written and humorous and fits right in to the vampire theme. Students, especially those at that age level, might really enjoy this book of extreme haunting struggle."
