These books are a perfect balance of plot and character dynamics, with complex archetype characters and a unique narrative that focuses on a particular case having to do with one of the characters. You get a great balance of character exploration and dialogue along with the mystery that you seek as a reader. Best of both worlds without having to sacrifice one thing for the other.
