Colleen Hoover
A Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestseller. From #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover comes a novel that explores life after tragedy and the enduring spirit of love. When Leeds meets Layla, he's convinced he'll spend the rest of his life with her--until an unexpected attack leaves Layla fighting for her life. After weeks in the hospital, Layla recovers physically, but the emotional and mental scarring has altered the woman Leeds fell in love with. In order to put their relationship back on track, Leeds whisks Layla away to the bed-and-breakfast where they first met. Once they arrive, Layla's behavior takes a bizarre turn. And that's just one of many inexplicable occurrences. Feeling distant from Layla, Leeds soon finds solace in Willow--another guest of the B&B with whom he forms a connection through their shared concerns. As his curiosity for Willow grows, his decision to help her find answers puts him in direct conflict with Layla's well-being. Leeds soon realizes he has to make a choice because he can't help both of them. But if he makes the wrong choice, it could be detrimental for all of them.

"Honestly this is one of the good Colleen book. But it fell flat for me and while I kinda like the plot, I thought her writing was…meh lol"

"*WARNING THIS REVIEW WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS* Yea I didn't really like this one. I don't see why everyone who likes Colleen Hoover says this is the best one. For me, it was boring and really tough to get through. The writing style was different and more slow paced than her other books. I feel like the dude Leeds(which is such a weird and stupid name to have lol) fell in love waayyy too fast. I mean I occasionally read books that have love at first sight or instalove, but this? Come on, that could've have gone way better. I knew nothing of this book, until a friend spoiled the whole "paranormal" aspect of it lol, so when they got shot, it shocked me, along with finding out he killed Sable, but even before that I figured Layla wasn't Layla, you know? The whole time they were in the house, I just got the clues before leeds did so I couldn't really enjoy it. Also, leeds is a horrible boyfriend with no morals. He legit just kept having his "girlfriend" possessed because he preferred the ghost. Stupid butthole. Anyways, I kept putting it off and I wished I didn't because that was a waste of time. I will say I liked how aspen reacted to when Sable came through, and how she misplaced her trust in leeds. That's a good sister right there. I don't know what else to say about this book, other than it was okay."

"Love Hoover’s writing, generally, but I have mixed feelings about this one. The storyline was really quite intriguing, but the surrounding details were unsettling, disturbing and maybe didn’t need to be. Will read more of her work, but wouldn’t necessarily have anyone start with this one. Verity and It Ends With Us are better representations of her work. "

"My absolute least favorite of CoHo. I could not get on board with the paranormal in this one. I adore Hoover, but was not a fan"

"A storyline you won’t find anywhere else! That being said, I do not recommend this one. The end was OK at best and the rest of the story had me saying “wtf” several times, not in an intriguing way. Colleen Hoover fans, you can skip this one. "

"If I had a dollar every time I said WHAT THE HELL while reading this book, I would be rich. THE PLOT ????? I went into this book blind. I had no idea on the plot line. I’m not usually into paranormal, but I couldn’t stop reading. "
