When the honeybee population disappears and a pandemic sweeps across the planet, the government tried a bio-engineered cure even deadlier than the problem. Branded with the mark of the vaccine, Fiona must navigate this new dystopian world. But there's no cure for being stung. . .Fiona doesn't remember going to sleep. But when she opens her eyes, she discovers her entire world has been altered-her house is abandoned and broken, and the entire neighborhood is barren and dead. Even stranger is the tattoo on her right wrist-a black oval with five marks on either side-that she doesn't remember getting but somehow knows she must cover at any cost. And she's right. When the honeybee population collapsed, a worldwide pandemic occurred and the government tried to bio-engineer a cure. Only the solution was deadlier than the original problem--the vaccination turned people into ferocious, deadly beasts who were branded as a warning to un-vaccinated survivors. Key people needed to rebuild society are protected from disease and beasts inside a fortress-like wall. But Fiona has awakened branded, alone-and on the wrong side of the wall . . .Don't miss these other books by Bethany Wiggins:Stung:StungCuredThe Transference Trilogy:The Dragon's PriceThe Dragon's CurseShifting

"I have yet to read the sequel but this book had a real cool concept. Save the bees or else we will live a dystopian future!!!"

"I loved this book, it has a little bit of everything! Like it has a action, suspense, and a little romance thrown i there too!! I feel it’s really confusing at first Bc you don’t have all the facts but then you start to understand l"

"I want more books like this! Little bit of everything and it's non-explicit! "

"It's an awesome, unique spin on a post- apocalyptic, zombie-like basis. It has all of the amazing features of a young adult novel (the journey, the romance, the character developments and the main character being a bada**) but they took a different spin on making a girl who's feet were grounded in our real world, wake up to a very scary and confusing new world. "I'm not a "science" person at all, but a lot of the elements in this book did not make any sense. Oh and the "falling in love with my savior" thing in YA is starting to be overdone."
