"The first one was good and fun; this one was just depressing. By the end of this book, I was starting to agree with Genevieve's perception of Lara Jean, which nobody else sees for some reason. I think Lara Jean is LEARNING to be real, but definitely isn't there yet, and I feel like the people around her have accepted themselves for who they are (except maybe Margot and Josh, but who knows).

Also, I could have SWORN that Genevieve told Lara Jean that she saw her and Peter kissing (when they were younger) in the first book, but she acts ******* surprised to hear it at the END of the book AGAIN. Did she just randomly forget the reason her ex-best friend hates her?

I guess I'll read the third one, but I feel like I would have been MUCH happier with the first book as a standalone. The ending felt super rushed after dragging out a bunch of stuff I didn't really care about."
