This book is GOOD. What struck me most about The Paris Wife was how it balanced Hemingway’s larger-than-life presence with Hadley’s quiet resilience. At first, it was hard to shake off the lens of A Movable Feast, but eventually, Hadley’s perspective took over, revealing her heartbreak, sacrifices, and strength. The story is both poignant and heartbreaking, and it moved me to tears. I’m sure this book will stay with me for a long while. "

"There were a lot of moments where I was consumed by their connection…before the devastation…the realization of it being over. After this book, I was OBSESSED with Hemingway. I like to tell people that “I love to hate him”. Love his work…but…yeah, you get the picture. This book puts you RIGHT there, in the center of it all. If you’ve read “A Moveable Feast”, you know what I’m talking about. "

Although I appreciate that the actual events in this story didn't seem embellished, in the end I didn't feel like much really happened! From a historical fiction standpoint I liked it though. <br/>"
