"I LOVE this modern dark romance mafia retelling of beauty and the beast! I cannot say I enjoyed the weakling character that Aria is portrayed as, but I guess I can understand the reasoning behind why she is the way she is. The torture she goes through I’m sure (I hope?) will result in the flourishing of a Xena warrior princess type of woman versus the damsel in distress she’s currently showing. Book 1’s end is, exactly what I think I wanted her to experience. Can’t wait to read the rest!"

"When the book blurb says "addictive dark, why-choose, captive romance" it does not lie! I was hooked from the start as I entered into the world of Alana and the Hawks. Needless to say, all my responsibilities went out the door <br/><br/>The FMC: Alana finds herself in a situation she didn’t expect, but she doesn’t let that get her down- she has been through worse. I love how even though she was a strong FMC, she was still human and had relatable breaking points. <br/><br/>The MMCs: Reid and JD also find themselves in a unique situation as they thought they knew what they were dealing with- but quickly realized that maybe they were wrong. Mav, well he is relentless and will never give up on her. He is on a war path and will take down anyone that gets in his way. <br/><br/>These 3 men are all very different which makes for a fun read, but they have one thing in common- they are not the good guys. I love how Tracy lets you fall for pieces of them but then reminds you of who they truly are. This is not a book where bad good turns good- this is where the anti-heroes capture your heart the only way they know how. They just take it. <br/><br/>I found myself with so many questions but trusted the process- then….holy cliffhanger! "While it's hard knowing this series is over (aside from the novella), I feel this final book wrapped up the series nicely. Full of such soul crushing agony as well as over joyous tears and steamy action, this book has it all. I look forward to reading the novella as I'm not ready to say goodbye to Mari and her men."
