Lisa Scottoline
Lisa Scottoline breaks new ground in Look Again, a thriller that's both heart-stopping and heart-breaking, and sure to have new fans and book clubs buzzing. When reporter Ellen Gleeson gets a "Have You Seen This Child?" flyer in the mail, she almost throws it away. But something about it makes her look again, and her heart stops—the child in the photo is identical to her adopted son, Will. Her every instinct tells her to deny the similarity between the boys, because she knows her adoption was lawful. But she's a journalist and won't be able to stop thinking about the photo until she figures out the truth. And she can't shake the question: if Will rightfully belongs to someone else, should she keep him or give him up? She investigates, uncovering clues no one was meant to discover, and when she digs too deep, she risks losing her own life—and that of the son she loves.

"wasn’t the biggest fan of the writing style. i was starting to get sick of reading “good, thanks”. but it was easy to read, and it got me over my latest book slump :) this book made me cry. i used no critical thinking skills whilst reading so i don’t have an actual review to leave here. glad i read it, but probably won’t let it take up space on my shelf much longer"

"The premise of the book was interesting. The delivery left a lot to be desired.

As the mom of a 4-year old, I can say that the 3-year-old on this book was way too precocious for his age. He was more like a clingy 6 year old.

Did I root for the heroine? No. Did I think she got too lucky all the time? Yes.

I was intrigued to see where the story would go cause I couldn’t see anyone winning in this situation and that kept me reading. It didn’t pay off. Everything’s good, the end.

But wait. I forgot the sex. A romantic scene with your hot boss (who has an accent!) when you’re about to lose everything makes so much sense. Not."

"General info
When Ellen Gleeson gets a Have You Seen Me card in the mail, she almost throws it away. But something about it makes her look again and her heart stops. The child in the photo looks exactly like her adopted son,Will.

How was it
I was so excited and intrigued by the synopsis of the story that this book went to the top of my tbr and I started reading it as soon as I got home.
I loved how they jumped right into the story, it gets you hooked from the start. Unfortunately, after that it seemed like there were way too many unnecessary details, almost like she was just trying to fill pages. It was really hard for me to get through the middle of the book, everything was so predictable and obsessive. However, the ending was amazing and unexpected. Made me tear up a little. I dont have children, but I can imagine the heartbreak. The ending was a little more fast paced and I enjoyed the happy ending.

Good things
The ending made the book worth reading.

Not so good things
Her relationship with Marcelo..why would she be worrying about a relationship at a time like this?

The chapters were very short. I was on Chapter 14 and only to page 48. There are 96 chapters over 370 pages.

All in all, I would give this book a 2. Unfortunately, I probably won't read it again."
