"For a #dystopian fiction lover, it's sad that I couldn't get through most of the first book. Therefore, I'm very hesitant to review it, because I have no clue if it gets better or worse. The author stays true to the main character, though, and really, the premise is intriguing. Maybe the issue was that the lead character has a #male_pov and I couldn't relate? Definitely 4 stars, though, for the depth and general feel--even if I didn't like it, I could tell it was an excellent book. Just not my exact taste... "

"this trilogy is my favorite book series of all time. I know there was a movie made on it but the books are so much better as always. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes the hunger games and other distopian books. it is considered sci-fi because it take place on another planet but it’s a very rural sci-fi feel!! i love it and need people to talk about it with so please read it!! i will warn that each book is around 500-550 pages but do not let the size intimidate you!! it’s so good. (ps i blew through the 1st over 500 page book in less than a week and the 2nd also 500 page books in less than a week and i’m already halfway through the third) "
