"Dnf<br/><br/>This book was a bit pretentious. The worst part was one of the main characters Lily was not very likable and to me obnoxious. It was difficult to read from her perspective. She seemed fun but over the top and adventurous while Dash was a snarky intellectual with a side of grinch. They had no chemistry.<br/><br/>So maybe this was a bit too YA for me. For instance Lily said I don't know how he got past the cryptic clues.....how were they cryptic? The post-it literally had the name of the book he needed to find and the page number and the count to each word. Yes I have no idea how he figured it out. Dash is a genius.<br/><br/>I honestly wanted to quit reading after the sweaty perverted Santa omg that was gross. And it also didn't help that the narrator Tara Sands made Lily sound eye rollingly immature which I guess matched her words. Although I may have set myself up for failure because of my high hopes for this story."

"This one wasn't for me. I know there are a lot of people that love this book and there was a lot of hype and I've been wanting to read it for years. There was nothing wrong with it but I just couldn't get into it and I had some issues with the language and comparing God to Santa. Maybe I will try again one day or try the tv adaptation. I enjoyed the concept so I think I may like the show better."
