"Fast-paced, fun and poignant YA about a teenage girl with one hell of a family secret. All of the characters are interesting, the magic system is super cool and the love interest isn't a douche - they actually respect each other's abilities and get along (low standards but I've read a lot of YA and this is a big deal)."
